Welcome to the 2025 H Production Nationwide Points Championship, presented by the Ignition Speed Shop.

HPNPC Target Race

Gateway Majors

April 12-13

The second HPNPC target race of the season will be the Gateway Majors. The goal is 10+ cars. HPNPC points multipliers are based on number of starters in each race, so the more cars, the more points you’ll receive.

In an attempt to increase class participation and encourage new builds and old cars that have been parked for a while, the points championship will be held for another season.

Drivers from across the US compete in Majors and Regional events to gain points in our Nationwide Points Championship.

About HPNPC

In an attempt to increase class participation and encourage new builds and old cars that have been parked for a while, the points championship will be held for another season.
Top 7 finishes from all event types would count with points multipliers (ie. regional = 1x, majors/super tour = 1.5x, runoffs/HP invitationals = 2x) and bonus points would be given for poles, new lap records, and # of HP cars you beat in the race. Bonus points will also be given for new builds for 2025 and for cars that have been parked and not raced for 5 or more years.
We will have door prizes at randomly selected races and end of season contingencies/prizes as well. A full list of the prizes will be announced shortly, as support for the championship is still being finalized.
*** New in 2025 will be (2) HPNPC Invitational events. One will be located at Mid Ohio on Aug 9-10, and one will be west of the Mississippi and TBD at a later date. The intent is to pick races that we can get 20+ cars in HP to attend, and get a mix of past National Champions, national level front runners, regional racers, rookies and even retired HP racers.  The Mid Ohio event will have the comradery of the Runoffs with the casual atmosphere of a local event. There will be a Saturday evening BBQ party for the class to mingle and we are even working with host regions to get our own run group at these events!  Races will carry double points, have prizes available, and give us a chance to see each other besides just the Runoffs.  More details to come, but please try to attend one of these special events if you are able to! ***
The official rules will be emailed out to those who register at the end of January, and any entries after that will receive the rules shortly after they register.
The final date to register is March 31st. If you raced between Jan 1 and Mar 31, and register after you raced, your points will be added retroactively.
Standings will be posted online, and updated no less than bi-weekly.
There will be a one-time registration fee of $60 to enter the championship. Additional donations to support the series are very much welcome as well!!  Money will be used for cash + gift card awards (season-long and door prizes), longest tow awards, trophies, decals/patches, etc. A full break-down of the use of these fees can be requested at any time.
To register, please fill out the form below, and at some point after registering, you will be emailed with (4) options for paying the registration fee.
**NOTE: This is IN ADDITION to the normal SCCA points system and is meant to be fun and increase camaraderie and competition – it does not replace or undermine the Regional, Divisional or Super Tour points championships in any way**

2025 4th Annual Mike Cummings Invitational

Save The Date - the 2025 Mike Cummings H-Production Invitational will be held at Mid Ohio on Aug 9-10, 2025. There should be an optional test day and/or an evening twilight test on the 8th. We will again have our own run group for HP and will be the first group after lunch each race day.

For some, the Runoffs are the highlight of the SCCA race season, but for many in the H Prod community, it’s the Mike Cummings H Production Invitational coming up August 9-10 at Mid-Ohio, part of the Ohio Valley Region Sprints.

In its third year, the Invitational is powered by the organizational skill of H Prod racer Jason Stine. Ironically, Jason has never been in a position to enter his own Sprite in the event, but his enthusiasm keeps the event growing.

The event attracts everyone from the top level of the class to those with new builds who are just starting out on the development curve of their cars.

HUGE thank you to all of our sponsors this year and their contributions to the event.
